Is paragliding safe?
Yes. One of the good things about paragliding in Flims is the fact that it can be done as tandem paragliding. This means that it is not required that you have done it before. An instructor will guide you and fly together with you on the same glider.
Paragliding offers in Flims, Laax and Falera
There are a couple of different options to choose from. The easiest offer is also the most popular one: Tandem Paragliding Panorama. Generally, there are only a few requirements for paragliding, and those are the following: maximum 100 kg (~220 lbs) and parental consent for people under 18. It is possible to do paragliding in both winter and summer.
Tandem Paragliding Panorama
As mentioned earlier, this is the most popular option for tourists as it requires no previous experience or anything. Just follow the instructions of the instructor (and read our 3 tips below) and everything will go smoothly!
This option gives you 10-20 minutes in the air depending on weather conditions and costs 180 CHF per person. The view is beautiful and you will also be able to take pictures with a GoPro for a surcharge. The total time needed is around 1,5 hours.
Tandem Paragliding Panorama DUO
Book this option if you would like to share the paragliding experience with your friend, partner, etc. Other than that, it is the exact same one as the one mentioned before.
2 “pilots” will be in the air just after each other, allowing you to share the experience and fly next to each other. If you choose to go with the GoPro addon, then you will be able to take pictures of each other while in the air.
This option gives you 10-20 minutes in the air as well, and it also requires around 1,5 hours in total. The price is 190 CHF per person and should be booked at least twice (total of 380 CHF).
Tandem Paragliding Thermal
Thermal paragliding will give you some more time in the air (30-50 minutes), because the starting point is at higher altitude. It is only bookable during the summer and the price is 250 CHF (+10 CHF surcharge per person for the DUO option).

Great! You decided to book a paragliding experience. Now, you are probably asking yourself: What happens now? What should I wear? Do I need to do something special? Where can I read more about practical information?
To actually give you the best information on our website, we have tried this activity and are able to answer some questions.
Booking and time of departure
When you book this activity, we send a request to our partner and ask if there are time slots available on the day you have chosen.
If there are time slots available, the booking will be confirmed and you will receive the contact details of your instructor.
You will have to contact the instructor on the day before the day requested between 18:00 and 20:00 to ask for which time you have to meet them 100 meters from our hotel.
What should I wear?
Summer: Long pants and a wind jacket. Winter: Ski clothing and gloves. General: Sunglasses, good shoes for hiking (or skis, if applicable).
For reference, I was wearing a ski jacket in the middle of the summer, and it was not too hot when in the air. However, when we landed, I could instantly feel the heat. The conclusion is that a ski jacket is sufficient if you do not have a wind jacket.
Other useful information
The price of using the cable carts is usually not included, and you should therefore bring some cash to purchase the required tickets (see ticket prices). We sometimes offer packages where the price of the ticket is included in the price.
The 3 Hillsite tips
- Take some pictures, but enjoy the flight. When you try paragliding for the first time, it is a very special experience. Do not waste the moment on taking too many pictures. It is not the cheapest experience, and it is not something you can do every day.
- Do not plan anything for the day booked. Since the weather conditions can change all the time, it is not possible to give you an exact time of departure before the day before. Therefore, we suggest that you wait with making plans for that day until after you have spoken to the instructor about when to meet.
- Book as a package. If you were to order everything separately, it would be much more expensive than buying it as a package on our website.
